Percussionist, teacher, lecturer, and composer.
In 2012, Tomer founded Tremolo Percussion Center — the Israeli Percussion Center in Netanya.
He has been invited to perform as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Opera Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic, the Ukraine Philharmonic, the Reno Philharmonic, the Fresno Philharmonic, the Taiwan National Orchestra, the Thailand Philharmonic, and major orchestras throughout Israel. He has also appeared at the Verbier Festival, Salzburg Festival, Reykjavik Festival, Israel Festival (invited to four different festival productions), PASIC, percussion festivals around the world, concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, among many other international engagements.
He has served as a judge on numerous professional panels, including the Prime Minister’s Award for Composition and the Eden Partosh Award for the Performance of Israeli Music.
In addition, he serves as an official advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Education in the field of percussion. He regularly gives masterclasses at leading music academies worldwide, including Juilliard School, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Munich, Delaware, Minnesota, Miami, Beijing, Taiwan, Costa Rica, and many other institutions.
Tomer teaches percussion at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.
His percussion compositions are performed regularly around the world.
